Locked Up: Escape Room Experience opens in Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -

Locked Up Mishawaka opened it’s doors on Thursday.

The new business, on West University Drive, is an interactive adventure game.

Players are locked in a room, and have 60 minutes to solve riddles and puzzles to escape.

The current theme is Escape from Alcatraz. With your team of 6-12 players you have to work together to crack the code.

Co-owners Antonio Parisi and Jeremy Bachman act as the Game Masters, and watch it all unfold.

“Unless everyone is working together, you’ll never survive,” Antonio Parisi.

Parisi and Bachman say it’s can act as a team building exersize for corporations, friends, and families.

“It’s extremely interesting to watch the different dynamics of personalities and people, you kind of watch how the teams interact and work together,” said Parisi.

The closest escape room experience facility is in Fort Wayne.

While similar businesses can be found across the country, typically only in larger cities.

Parisi and Bachman say Mishawaka was the right fit for the business because the residents want more variety.

“It gives them the opportunity to get out of their dorms, get off their sofas and actually come and do something where your mind has to work. There’s always room for growth, there’s always room for something new, something interesting, something different. And this is definitely out of the box,” said Parisi.

Tickets are $28, you can reserve them on http://lockeduplive.com/.
