Long Beach PD asking for public’s help in identifying porch thief

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. – The Long Beach Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect(s) and vehicle involved in two different package thefts on Tuesday afternoon.

The thefts occurred between 1 and 2:30 p.m. on March 2.

Video from one of the thefts shows a silver or light tan, four-door GMC Envoy pulling into a driveway, where a white male passenger in a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, brown winter boots, and a surgical-style mask exits from the back seat, passenger side and runs up to take a package from the front door of a residence.

The suspect quickly runs back to the vehicle and the driver pulls away.

The thefts occurred in the 2400 block of St. Lawrence Avenue and the 1800 block of Lake Shore Drive.
