Longest stretch without snow!

It is December, can you believe it?

Temperatures in the 60s and sunshine started off the month, but falling temperatures are reminding us that winter is just around the corner!

And, records continue to fall as the year winds down.

The lack of snow in 2012 has actually set a new record for South Bend!  This is officially the longest period without snow ever!

And, it is not over, yet!  The record is 272 days, and that number continues to grow with no snow expected through the weekend.

But, it looks like we will not make it to the next record (which is the latest snowfall) as that record is December 17th, and it looks like we could get measurable snow (at least 0.1") early next week!

Of course the weather pattern and forecast are always changing, so stay tuned!
