Longtime teacher Samra sentenced 10 years in prison for felony child solicitation
WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. -- A longtime music teacher from Fort Wayne, who was caught in an undercover sting operation by the group "Bikers Against Predators," was convicted of two felony counts of child solicitation on Monday (Dec. 18).
He was sentenced to 10 years in prison for each count, but the sentences will run concurrently, meaning Samra will serve a total of 10 years behind bars.
Samra admitted to trying to meet a 13-year-old for sex after chatting with them online. The 13-year-old turned out to be an adult member of the Bikers Against Predators group. The video taken by the group, of the meeting with Samra, was used against him in court.
After the completion of his prison sentence, Samra will be released on probation and have to register as a sex offender.
