Many people around Michiana are excited about the new South Bend Cubs merchandise released this week, including Swoop.

Swoop, the Silver Hawks mascot, is still around, as he was seen at the Eddy Street Commons Holiday Parade on Saturday.

The South Bend Cubs owner, Andrew Berlin, has said that even though the team's mascot has changed, he is planning on keeping Swoop around for all of his young, loyal fans.

For anyone that is wanting to purchase merchandise, the team store at Four Winds Field is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
