SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Severe weather is back in the forecast, but the chances remain low.
After a busy week of heat and storms, we have one more round of storms Friday afternoon and evening.
The Storm Prediction Center currently has all of Michiana in a level 1 out of 5 risk of severe storms.
The main concern with the thunderstorms Friday afternoon between 4 and 9 PM will be wind gusts of 40-60 mph.
Any storm will have heavy rain and of course, lightning.
Small hail is also a possibility but less of a threat than strong to damaging wind gusts.
Overall, the severe threat is lower than it was earlier this week. Not expecting many to see severe storms as the severe threat is low and isolated.
Stay with the ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Team today and tomorrow for additional updates.
