SOUTH BEND, Ind.—Ahead of the big Four Winds Invitational, LPGA Symetra Tour players hosted a ladies golf 101 clinic at Blackthorn Golf Club on Wednesday evening.
LPGA Symetra players ran the clinic which featured three putting stations, long drives and chipping.
“What we’ve tried to do is get more people involved in the tournament that maybe are not necessarily hardcore golfers but the LPGA players are so friendly, so open and accommodating and they’re great teachers of the game. It’s really fun for the ladies to come out and meet these players,” said Tim Firestone, owner of Blackthorn Golf Club.
The proceeds for all of the fees from the clinic are going to Beacon Children’s Hospital.
The Four Winds Invitational kicks off on June 7.
