Man accused of murdering a Goshen hotel owner in court

GOSHEN, Ind. -- The man accused of murdering a Goshen hotel owner was in front of a judge on Thursday.

The court entered a not guilty plea for him until he gets a lawyer. Prosecutors say John Hawley killed Ken Patel earlier this month.

Patel's body was found inside the Goshen Inn. Patel was known for hiring homeless men to help fix up the building, and Hawley worked for him.

Hawley will be back in court next month.
