Man arrested after allegedly threatening county highway employees with rifle

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- A 51-year-old man is facing several charges after allegedly threatening Marshall County Highway Department employees with a rifle Monday morning.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department reports deputies responded to a home in the 3000 block of Olive Road regarding a man threatening the employees.

Deputies arrived to find the suspect, Jonathan Ashby.

The investigation resulted in a search warrant being obtained.

While executing the search warrant, authorities found firearms and suspected drugs.

Ashby was arrested and booked into Marshall County Jail on charges of Intimidation with a Deadly Weapon, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

His bond was set at $1,505.
