Man arrested for parole violation stemming from Child Molestation charge

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Police Department reports 28-year-old Emmanuel Green was arrested Monday for a parole violation stemming from a 2021 Child Molestation charge.
The SJCPD Warrants team, with the help from the Indiana State Parole and the US Marshals, located and arrested Green Monday morning in the 500 block of Michigan Street in South Bend.
Green was booked into the St. Joseph County Jail and is charged with Escape-Def. removes, disables, or interferes with electronic monitoring or GPS, a Level 6 Felony.
Documents in Green's child molestation case reveal he was sentenced to 6 years in prison in October 2021 for Child Molesting-Fondling or touching with child under 14 but was released to a community transition program in January.
He has no court date yet for his new escape charge.
The probable cause affidavit obtained from the St. Joseph County Superior Court reveals on or about Mar. 1, 2021, officers with the South Bend Police Department responded to a residence on Huey Street for a reported sexual assault in progress.
Officers arrived and spoke with the witness on scene who said Green had just fled the location.
Police were told Green was staying at the residence on a couch directly outside the young victim's room.
The witness told authorities they had walked into the victim's room to grab some headphones when they saw Green next to the victim, both partially undressed.
The witness said they confronted Green, which caused him to flee.
The victim was interviewed and told authorities Green had touched them inappropriately early that morning.
The victim added that Green touched their genitals.
