LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- A man was arrested for resisting arrest after pounding on the doors of the jail demanding he be arrested, according to the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office.

Tuesday night around 11:30 p.m., a deputy was called to the La Porte County Jail for reports a shirtless man was pounding on the doors of the jail demanding he be arrested on an active warrant.

When the deputy arrived, he located two jail deputies near a shirtless man, later identified as Glynn Anderson Jr, between the jail and the La Porte County Courthouse.

While attempting to determine whether Anderson was wanted, the deputy noticed a Yamaha Raptor ATV nearby, reports said.

The deputy determined the ATV was associated with an incident that happened nearby involving Anderson, and that Anderson had ridden the ATV to the jail to surrender, reports said.

Anderson was not a wanted person.

Anderson became confrontational and began refusing to follow directions and resisted deputies.

He eventually stopped resisting and was taken to the La Porte County Jail on a preliminary charge of resisting law enforcement.

La Porte City Police are conducting an investigation into the incident that happened in the city, deputies said.
