Man convicted of murdering 14-year-old in Michigan City

La Porte County Jail LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- A man has been convicted of the murder of a Michigan City teenager.
19-year-old Marcus Ballinger Jr. was originally taken into custody May 19.
On May 15, Michigan City police were dispatched to a scene where 14-year-old Devin Porter was found shot. He died from his injuries.
Ballinger will be sentenced November 5.
