Man dies after medics sent to wrong place

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. -- A 9-1-1 dispatcher who failed to do her job is being blamed for a mistake that cost a man his life.

Shauna Justice was at the 9-1-1 call center training a new dispatcher when the call came in. 58-year-old Bob Hill had a heart attack while playing racquetball.

Justice was on her phone and failed to catch the mistake that sent paramedics to the wrong location.

"She was very remorseful about what happened; very caring about it. Admitted to what her mistake was," said Volusia County Sheriff Ben Johnson.

The new dispatcher guided the caller through CPR in an effort to save Hill's life but nearly 10 minutes into the call help still had not arrived.

He died shortly after.
