Man, dog rescued from icy waters

MONROE COUNTY, Mich. -- A Michigan man and his best friend are alive after a daring rescue into frozen waters.

Emergency crews in Monroe County rescued a man and his dog who were stuck on the ice.

It happened at the mouth of the Huron River where it meets Lake Erie.

He was walking his dogs when one of them fell into the water. He tried to get the dog out but he couldn't reach. 

That's when he called for help and crews were able to get the man and the dog out.
