Man flips truck onto South Bend porch with infant in back seat

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- It was a scary night for one South Bend woman when a man flipped his truck right onto her porch.

It happened just before 6 Sunday afternoon on Edison Avenue. Police say the driver took a left turn too fast. That's when he hit this rock and rolled onto Stacy Wagner’s yard, all of this while there was a two-year-old baby in the backseat.

"I heard people yelling ’why you were going so fast with that baby in the car?’" said Wagner.

Wagner climbed under the truck, grabbed the baby by the arm and pulled him out. Medics arrived on the scene shortly after to check out the baby, who is expected to be okay.

While she's happy no one was seriously hurt, Wagner said people should heed the road signs and slow down.
