Cass County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call about a single vehicle crash Saturday around 2:00 a.m.

The crash happened on Born Street near Patterson Hill Road in Newburg Township of Cass County, Michigan.

50-year-old Kenneth Duke of Jones, Michigan, lost control of his vehicle and ran off the roadway striking a tree.

After being transported to the emergency room, Duke was flown to Bronson of Kalamazoo for his injuries.

Police say he was not wearing his seatbelt and alcohol may have been involved.

The crash remains under investigation.

Newburg Township Fire and Ambulance and Lifecare Ambulance assisted at the crash scene.
