Man rescued after driving car into pond

FISHERS, Ind. -- A man was rescued early Wednesday morning after his vehicle ended up in a pond in Fishers Indiana.

Three people who happened to be driving by said they spotted the car in the pond and broke the windshield to pull the man to safety.

Amber Ross said her instincts as a military medic kicked in.

"Honestly, I can't tell you what was going through my mind, I just reacted. It’s cold out today, so the first thing that went through my mind was if someone's in that water they needed help," said Ross.

She gave the man CPR until the medics showed up.

Police have confirmed doctors put him in a medically induced coma Wednesday morning.
