Man ticketed for lauging too loudly

NEW YORK CITY. -- A New York man is facing hundreds of dollars in fines because of his laughter.

While some might call his laugh infectious, others say it is noise.

His neighbor called the cops and filed a noise complaint. Police showed up and gave the guy two tickets for disturbing the peace.

Now he is fighting those charges.

"I can't laugh out a window in my own home," said Robert Schiarelli. "I'm not going to be bullied or pushed around or told what to do."

It is certainly no laughing matter now. Each one of those tickets is worth $250 or 15 days in jail.
