Man who jumped from moving car dies from injuries

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- A 21-year old Warsaw man involved in an accident in January died from his injuries.

Jerry Lee Charles Belcher died Monday morning at Lutheran Hospital.

In January, Belcher was in a car driven by his father when the two got into a fight.

Belcher opened the front passenger door and jumped from the car.

Police found Belcher unconscious. He suffered extensive head injuries.

The coroner said his death was a result of “complications of traumatic brain injury due to blunt force trauma due to exiting a moving vehicle.”
