Manicures causing cancer?

Gel nail polish is very popular right now because it makes your manicure last longer and doesn't chip.

It comes at a price though, when getting the polish put on your nails you have to put them underneath an ultra violet light.

Some doctors are now saying that exposure can be dangerous and cause cancer like another popular beauty trend.

Dr. Bruce Katz, a  Dermatologist said, "These little light boxes actually contain the same ultraviolet
light that we see in tanning beds. And we know tanning beds have been associated with melanoma."

Many nail industry scientists agree that the type of light is the same but the strength if the light is totally different and less harmful because there is so much less exposure.
