Martin's Super Markets acquired by SpartanNash
South Bend based Martin's Super Markets has reached an agreement to be purchased by SpartanNash, a company that distributes grocery products and operates retail stores.
Martin's operates 21 stores in northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan. It employs approximately 3,500 employees.

The transaction is expected to close early in the first quarter of the fiscal year ending December 28, 2019.
