SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Councilman Oliver Davis, Commissioner Dave Thomas and Councilwoman Diana Hess opened the new roundabout at Olive and Sample streets Friday morning during a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Construction on the project began in April 2016 and included the roundabout, replacement of the overpass deck, new pavement, sidewalks, streetlights and trees, according to the city.
