MDOT lowering speed limit on M139 during youth fair

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich.—MDOT said Friday that it will lower the maximum speed limit on a stretch of M-139 during the Berrien County Youth Fair.
The maximum speed limit on M-139 from 500 feet west of 1st Street to 500 feet east of George Avenue will be lowered to 35 miles per hour.
The reduction will be in effect from August 12 through August 19.
MDOT says the change is necessary for safe traffic movement during the Berrien County Youth Fair.
