MDOT seeking public input for St. Joe bridge rebuilding project

COLOMA, Mich. -- On Tuesday, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) announced that a new survey asking for public feedback on upcoming bridge improvements in St. Joseph is now live online.

The purpose of the survey is to hear from residents, commuters, local businesses and more about thje M-63/I-94 Business Loop (BL) rebuilding project from Central Avenue to the Blossomland Bridge, and I-94 BL to the Bicentennial Bridge in downtown St. Joe that is currently planned for 2027.

"[Survey] topics include traffic and parking, safety, nonmotorized (pedestrian and bicycle), and streetscape elements," MDOT officials said.

You can find the survey here, where it will be live until Friday, Feb. 16.

"As part of the planning process, MDOT is working with community partners and stakeholders to develop project plans," MDOT officials said. "The collaborative process is intended to develop a community-based vision that seeks to improve mobility and quality of life for those who live, work, explore, and travel along this corridor. The input received through the survey will be utilized and shared at a future public meeting."
