Meow Mission hosts Purses for Purrs fundraiser

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Meow Mission is hosting its 5th annual Purses for Purrs designer purse auction from April 25 through April 28.

The organization is auctioning off 50 gently-used designer purses from Kate Spade, Coach, Michael Kors, Guess, Steve Madden and more.

Visit the Meow Mission’s Facebook page for photos of the purses and to bid. You can bid online through 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. In person bidding will be available Thursday from 6 – 6:45 p.m. at Monterrey Mexican Bar & Grill.

All proceeds will go toward spaying and neutering free-roaming cats.

"Purses for Purrs auction of gently-used designer bags is a fun way for someone to treat them self or a loved one and, at the same time, support our work of neutering community cats. Our goal is to raise enough to neuter 50 cats with the proceeds,” said Jodi Aker, President of the Meow Mission.

The Meow Mission is an all-volunteer trap/neuter/return non-profit organization that has neutered over 8,500 cats since 2011.
