Meth and stolen items found at South Haven residence
VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. - The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office reports that Narcotics Detectives executed a search warrant in the 17000 block of Blue Star Highway in South Haven after receiving information that a large amount of narcotics trafficking was going on.
Authorities went to the motorhome residence where they knocked and asked everyone to come outside.
Two people in the motorhome refused to come out and could be heard running back and forth, according to police.
Authorities then forced entry into the motorhome by breaking the windows and giving verbal commands.
The two suspects exited and were detained. A third suspect was found in a separate camper and cooperated during the investigation.
Detectives located a large amount of methamphetamine inside of the motorhome and evidence of delivery taking place.
Officials say a stolen moped was found in the garage with other items that are believed to be stolen.
Two of the suspects, a 53-year-old male and a 46-year-old female, were taken into custody.
Officials say after the investigation is complete it will be turned over to the Van Buren County Prosecutor’s office for prosecution.
