Meth lab found in Elkhart home, minor removed to child services

Several meth labs, 3 grams of meth, and drug paraphernalia were found in an Elkhart home.

Elkhart police were dispatched to the 200 block of South West Blvd. Tuesday afternoon, after calls prompted a welfare check.

40-year-old Terry Lindsey and 33-year-old Danielle Lindsey are facing multiple felony charges, including manufacturing methamphetamine and neglect of a minor.

The child living with them has been removed and is in the care of Child Services, and the two dogs found in the home have been placed with the Elkhart County Humane Society.

Neighbors of the quiet, residential neighborhood were surprised that this happened in their area.  They say the couple were quiet and mostly kept to themselves.

The Lindseys remain in custody at the Elkhart County Correctional Facility.  No bond or court date has been posted.
