SOUTH BEND, Ind.—The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit (CMHU) is investigating a shooting that occurred on April 28.
Officers with the South Bend Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter notification and reports of gunshots fired in the 500 block of N. William St. around 9:56 p.m. on Sunday.
Officers located one male adult victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
The victim was identified as 19-year-old Traychon Taylor. He is in critical condition at an area hospital.
CMHU has interviewed multiple witnesses but no arrests have been made.
