Michiana prepares for 2016

The countdown to 2016 has begun and it’s perhaps the perfect time to reflect on the year that was while looking forward to the year it will be.
On Thursday night, New Year’s Eve, the Palais Royale in South Bend is offering a four course dining experience.
A $100 ticket for that event gets you dinner and the chance to dance to the Tom Milo Big Band.
If you’re looking for fireworks, the Amish Acres Historic Farm and Heritage Resort in Nappanee will have a fireworks display after a theater performance of Mary Poppins.
If you’re looking for a different type of experience, Fiddler’s Hearth is holding an event with live Scottish folk music.
They advise you get there by 7 p.m. because that’s when 2016 rings in, in Scotland.
