SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Students from all over Michiana will soon be on stage performing the Lion King, Jr.
The South Bend Civic Theatre's production of the classic weekend opens this weekend.
Before the performer's take to the stage, ABC57's Marisa Oberle got a preview of it.
Seventy-five children in grades 2 through 8 are cast in the production. They've spent the past month putting it together.
The South Bend Civic Theatre says the production incorporates more students from more schools than any of their previous productions. In the theatre's education program, organizers work with students to cultivate creativity, curiosity, compassion, civility, and collaboration.
If you would like to attend, tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults. There are still tickets available for the Feb. 7, 8, 21, and 22 shows.
