Michigan animal park closing

COLOMA, Mich. -- An animal park in Michigan is closing their doors after 65 years in business.

On Tuesday, Deer Forest Exotic Animal Sanctuary announced they will be closing after Labor Day.

The owners blame bad press and low funding on the closure of the sanctuary.

The USDA has been investigating the park following complaints about poor conditions for the animals living there.

Multiple protests have taken place there this summer, urging for the park to be shut down.

The owner is remaining optimistic, saying he is hoping for donations to keep the park running another season.
