After closure in 2020, YMCA reopens in downtown
MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- Local officials were given the opportunity to step into the boots of a firefighter for a day.
Participants wore protective equipment while experiencing controlled scenario's which included live fire dynamics.
The event was hosted by the Michigan City Fire Department at the Hitchcock Training Facility in LaPorte County.
ABC57's Kevin Warmhold participated in the event to see what goes into being a firefighter.
