Michigan City Police investigating deadly shooting

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- Michigan City Police are investigating a shooting after the death of a Michigan City man on Thursday night.
Police were called to the 200 block of East 6th Street on reports of a gunshot victim.
When officials arrived to the scene, they found an unresponsive male.
La Porte County Coroner pronounced the male dead at the scene.
The identity of the man is being withheld until family is notified.
The Michigan City Police were assisted by the Michigan City Fire, Emergency Medical Services and the LaPorte County Coroner.
