BREAKING: Michigan City Police respond to Washington Park beach regarding possible drowning

ABC 57 MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. --- Michigan City Police Department responded to Washington Park beach around 5:30 p.m. Monday evening regarding a possible drowning.
According to police, bystanders observed a child wearing red shorts enter the water on the east side of the catwalk and just south of the lighthouse.
The child disappeared under the water and officers are currently on scene searching for the child.
