VASSAR, Mich. -- A Michigan community welcomed home a true hero.
Staff Sergeant Travis Mills returned home to Vassar with a hero's welcoming parade.
He lost portions of all four of his limbs while serving in Afghanistan and this is first time back home.
Miller said he does not consider himself a hero but everyone at this welcome certainly does.
"I don't consider myself any more special any more heroic than any other person out there that puts on a uniform, goes over seas and does what they need to do," Miller said.
Mills was a leader on the Vassar football team, so he spoke before their big homecoming game.
