Michigan finds 8 more positive cases of COVID-19, now 33 in total

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced on March 14 that eight more adults have tested presumptive positive for COVID-19.

This brings the total for the state up to 33.

The specimens will be sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for confirmation testing.

The cases found are:

  • An adult male from Detroit with a history of domestic travel and contact with someone with a confirmed case.
  • An adult male from Oakland County with a history of domestic travel.
  • An adult male from Oakland County with an unknown travel history.
  • An adult female from Oakland County with a history of contact with someone with a confirmed case.
  • An adult male from Macomb County with no known travel history and no known contact with someone with a confirmed case.
  • An adult female from Monroe County with a history of domestic travel.
  • An adult female from Wayne County with an unknown travel history and no known contact with someone with a confirmed case.
  • An adult female from Washtenaw County with a history of contact with someone with a confirmed case.
