Michigan freshman injured in "knockout game"

The “knockout game” is when someone tries to knock out an unsuspecting victim by punching them in the back of the head.

Police say a freshman at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan was a victim of one of these attacks.

The incident occurred Thursday when an 18-year-old female student was walking alone and a man came up behind her and hit her once in the back of her head.

The victim was knocked to the ground and suffered a concussion.

Oakland students say they are scared.

“I'm definitely more scared. I'm hoping I don't get assaulted on the way back,” says student Jessica Hovey.

Oakland University has cameras located all across campus.

Police are looking at the footage from multiple camera angles to try to find the suspect who attacked the woman.
