Michigan gov. signs legislation to allow schools to lengthen days

Michigan governor Rick Snyder signed legislation Friday that will allow schools to extend the length of school days.

If school districts exceed six days of closure that they are allowed, they can now lengthen the school day for the rest of the year.

Prior to this, schools had to add make-up days to the end of the year.
