Michigan Governor vetoes major road work bill

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder vetoed a major road work bill Friday.

The bill would have relieved 45 larger communities across the state from paying portions of the cost of highway construction in their area.

One of the biggest bills is just outside of Detroit in Oakland County where a 1 billion dollar project for I-75 begins in July.

Governor Synder says he's concerned that the bill will force road money to be shifted from rural to urban projects.
