Michigan reports 1,999,416 total cases of COVID-19, 30,170 deaths

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 18,803 new cases* of COVID-19, and 327 new deaths**.

*Today's daily case count represents confirmed cases over two days (Tuesday & Wednesday). The average number of new cases is 9,402 per day.

**Deaths announced today includes 239 deaths identified during a Vital Records review. 

The state has had a total of 1,999,416 COVID-19 cases, 30,170 deaths, 1,421,905 recovered, and 11,203,998 vaccine doses administered***. 

  • Berrien Co.: 29,616 confirmed cases, 445 deaths, 159,304 vaccine doses administered
  • Cass Co.: 8,993 cases, 115 deaths, 38,240 vaccine doses administered
  • St. Joseph Co.:  11,646 cases, 155 deaths, 51,165 vaccine doses administered
  • Van Buren Co.: 15,060 cases, 223 deaths, 83,324 vaccine doses administered
