Michigan reports 2,026,646 total cases of COVID-19, 30,747 deaths

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 7,527 new cases* of COVID-19, and 330 new deaths**.

*Today's daily case count represents confirmed cases over two days (Tuesday & Wednesday). The average number of new cases is 3,764 per day.

**Deaths announced today includes 239 deaths identified during a Vital Records review. 

The state has had a total of 2,026,646 COVID-19 cases, 30,747 deaths, and 11,250,267 vaccine doses administered***. 

  • Berrien Co.: 30,007 confirmed cases, 460 deaths, 163,308 vaccine doses administered
  • Cass Co.: 9,093 cases, 116 deaths, 35,540 vaccine doses administered
  • St. Joseph Co.:  11,799 cases, 159 deaths, 51,285 vaccine doses administered
  • Van Buren Co.: 15,287 cases, 225 deaths, 87,052 vaccine doses administered

***Vaccines updated as of February 7, 2021

Note: The state of Michigan's website will no longer be updating the cumulative total of recovered COVID-19 cases. As of January 20, 2022, 1,421,905 people have recovered in the state.
