Michigan reports 2,064,093 total cases of COVID-19, 32,374 deaths

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported 1,739 new cases* of COVID-19, and 240 new deaths**.

*Today's daily case count represents confirmed cases over two days (Tuesday & Wednesday). The average number of new cases is 870 per day.

**Deaths announced today includes 220 deaths identified during a Vital Records review. 

The state has had a total of 2,064,093 COVID-19 cases, 32,374 deaths, and 11,420,276 vaccine doses administered***. 

  • Berrien Co.: 30,438 confirmed cases, 498 deaths, 161,057 vaccine doses administered
  • Cass Co.: 9,205 cases, 127 deaths, 38,645 vaccine doses administered
  • St. Joseph Co.:  11,968 cases, 170 deaths, 51,768 vaccine doses administered
  • Van Buren Co.: 15,568 cases, 238 deaths, 84,521 vaccine doses administered

***Vaccines updated as of March 7, 2021

Note: The state of Michigan's website will no longer be updating the cumulative total of recovered COVID-19 cases. As of January 20, 2022, 1,421,905 people have recovered in the state.
