Michigan lifting traffic restrictions over Labor Day weekend

The Michigan Department of Transportation is removing lane restrictions on nearly 60% of its road and bridge projects across the state to ease Labor Day travel.

From 3 p.m. on Friday, September 3 to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7, lane restrictions will be removed for 83 out of 147 projects.

While many work zones will not be active, equipment and certain traffic configurations may still be in place, like temporary shifts or shoulder closures.
