Michigan native Senator returns to the Great Lakes State

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- A Michigan native Senator was back in his home state Saturday!

Senator Carl Levin visited Berrien County and spoke to local Democrats in Benton Harbor.

Levin is originally from Detroit and was named Assistant Attorney General and General Counsel of the Michigan Civil Rights Commission.
 
Then was elected to the Detroit City Council in 1969.
 
And has been a U.S. Senator since 1978.
 
In 2006, "Time" magazine even named him one of America's 10 best senators.
