Michigan State Police collecting for Purses with a Purpose throughout April

Michigan State Police will be collecting purses and toiletries items for the Purses with a Purpose program. The donated items will be given to survivors of sexual or domestic assault.

The Niles Post will be accepting donations throughout the month of April.

They are collecting new purses, bags or totes, along with comfort items.

Suggested comfort items include:

Toiletries (travel size works best)
Feminine Items
Hand Sanitizer
Socks
Hair Ties
Snacks (trial mix, granola/protein bars or candy)

The items donated will be given to Redbud Area Ministries, Helping Hand of Cass, Cora Lamping Center and New Journey UMC.

Donations are being accepted through April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
