SOUTH BEND, Ind. – In preparation of the ninth annual Four Winds Invitational at Blackthorn Golf Course, Michigan Street in downtown South Bend has been renamed Four Winds Invitational Drive.
The Symetra Tour makes its 5th stop on the 2020 “Road to the LGPA” at Blackthorn on September 4th.
There will be 132 pro golfers all vying for a piece of the $150,000 total purse and a shot at the LGPA Tour.
In addition to the normal payout, this also marks the second of two events in this year’s Potawatomi Cup series, which adds $20,000 to be distributed during the final round.
The top five players receive a sum from the prize pool, including $10,000 to the winner and $5,000 to the runner-up.
“We felt it was very important to this year particularly stay involved and have this tournament go forward when it was safe to do so. I think it’s a way try and keep our road back to some sort of normalcy for everyone,” said Frank Freedman, Chief Operating Officer of Four Winds Casinos.
