Michigan teen fights rating to gain exposure for bullying documentary

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- A Michigan teen wants to change the rating of a bullying documentary, and she is taking her fight right to the Motion Picture Association of America!

17-year-old Katy Butler delivered 200,000 signatures this week.

The documentary called "Bully" is rated 'R', but Butler thinks it should be 'PG-13' so more teens can see it.

Butler said she was bullied in school, and knows the harm it can do.

"The kids who are bullied need to see. The kids who are the bullies also need to see the movie, because they can see the direct repercussion of their actions," said Butler.

The Motion Picture Association said its hands are tied since an appeals board recently upheld the rating.
