Midwest Energy gives back back to community

UNION, Mich. -- It has been said that greatness is measured by kindness. If that is true then the people of Midwest Energy Cooperative are standing tall.

Employees of the energy company were out spreading Christmas cheer on Thursday in Union, Mich. in what they call a Random Acts of Community Kindness Attack.

They handed out free breakfast at Marcellus Elementary.

And even paid for drivers' gas.

"The best part, I think is just putting smiles on people's faces," said Nicole Barfell of Midwest Energy Cooperative.

Employees said not only is it a chance to help others but inspire them to do the same.
