Millions of homes blackout for Earth Hour

Millions of homes and businesses across the globe were in a total blackout Saturday night.

The voluntary blackout was for "Earth Hour," an annual event that encourages people to shut off their power for one hour to save energy.

Saturday night, more than 7,000 towns across the globe showed their support for Earth.

Even Navy Pier in Chicago blacked out for the annual energy saving event.
