Mishawaka apartment building in flames

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Multiple fire crews were on the scene of a fully involved fire at Parkview Terrace Apartments located on 13th Street, just north of Dragoon Trail Wednesday night.

According to St. Joseph County Dispatch, the call came in at approximately 6:45 p.m.

Sources say the fire was contained to one building in the complex, effecting 20 units. 

One unit was severely damaged by the flames, 19 others were damaged from smoke and water. 

Those who were living in the damaged units are displaced for the night. 

A firefighter was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion.
